Record-Breaking Customer Satisfaction Continues for Energy Utilities

According to a report by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), customer satisfaction for energy utilities has improved for the seventh year in a row. Their benchmark for the utility sector improved 0.9% to a total of 77.4 out of 100, which is the highest level since 1994. The increase held across the energy utilities, municipal and cooperative utilities, and investor-owned utilities categories, with all three posting record highs. Claes Fornell, the founder and chairman of ACSI, attributed the increase to a mild winter and the increasing capability the utilities are offering to their customers to save energy.
