John Egan

Founder and President

John Egan, founder and president of Egan Energy Communications, Inc. (EEC), uses his extensive background and expertise in utility and energy communications and marketing to meet the unique needs of clients across the U.S. His experience prior to founding EEC includes utility spokesperson and market analyst for Salt River Project (AZ), utility communications research director for E source (CO), and energy journalist (DC). 

John writes and consults about the strategic communications challenges facing power, gas, and water providers, including infrastructure, price increases, workforce, reliability, environmental issues, water quality, customer experience (CX), customer communications, customer satisfaction, crisis communications, and media relations.

John is a member of and frequent contributor to the American Public Power Association (APPA) and the California Municipal Utilities Association (CMUA).
